COMMITMENT TO CHILD SAFETY
Safety Commitment Statement
Sunbury United FC (SUFC) is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all children and young people who participate in its football programs. SUFC wants children and young people from all backgrounds to feel safe, happy and that they belong.
SUFC has zero tolerance to any form of child abuse or harm that may occur in a physical or online environment, and any allegations will be treated seriously, in a culturally sensitive manner and in line with the club’s policies and reporting procedure.
As a junior football club, we take the safety and wellbeing of all our participants seriously and view child safety as a shared responsibility from all members and volunteers at SUFC.
Our Child Safety Policy outlines our scope and responsibilities as a junior football club and what we will do to meet our obligations.
Our Code of Conduct outlines the actions required to ensure our Child Safety Policy is enacted within our club and how we will achieve these actions within our teams and among our volunteers.
Our members can contact us via enquiries@sufc.com.au with a concern regarding wellbeing or safety and will be managed in line with SUFC process outlined. All reports are treated with confidentially and care.
This Safety Commitment Statement will be continually reviewed and as a minimum annually.
